“ Marks hot dogs is the best chili cheese dog in town by far .... I tried many other place from happy hound, corporate Wienerschnitzel and other I seem to forget but I will never forget marks and recommend to all my friends and family ... It's the best and there milks shakes are delicious too.. It's a San Jose landmarks and am proud they are in my neighborhood. Alum rock ... ”
“ It's one of the most genuine things leftover from old SJ. The hot dogs, they serve here are some beefy dogs and have a great snap to it. It has that classic American flavor that is rarely seen. However; I ordered a chille dog with no cheese and got cheese. It's okay. Service here is really friendly and nice, they take care of you here and feels like it's a welcome feeling each time. Parking is a bit small, and the music came straight of 00's. It's a clean area, it's a quick grab and go place. It a bit weird you order, wait, pay and then get food. But, it's not the first time. I would recommend this place. If your getting of the highway to/from east side SJ, this place is what you need if you want a glizzy. ”
“ Too bad they dont have a Nascar Martinsville dog. Those aew awesome. Still love this place, been coming for years. ”
“ Come get a taste of old school San Jose and get yourself some kraut dogs and some chili and cheese with a Oreo shake! Dogs that got that snap* Always great service and food! Pull up with your headlights on and get window service or step out and get a bench seat and check out the classic menu. They got polish too! “ I'm rarely on this side of town but I was today and how excited was I to see that Marks is still here (I just absolutely love that this place has stood the test of time)! The menu is exactly the same as it was when I was a kid of course the prices are a little higher but with the rising cost of food, I totally get it. The hot dogs we ordered were great, they were a pretty generous size and the buns were just as soft as I remembered. They still have carhop service which just adds to the awesomely nostalgic experience. Our server Kelvin was super friendly and our order came out pretty quick. We will definitely be back the next time we're in the area! :) ”
“ Good hotdogs and friendly service. There are out door bench style tables or you can order while seated in your car. Then they bring your order out to you. No indoor seating. The shack where they prepare the food is tiny. I enjoyed my food. I'll be back again. ”
“ Ok for the old school East Side San Jose kids this place is so nostalgic - I remember coming here all the time as a kid. It looks exactly the same but cleaner! They really cleaned up this place very well. I only came here for a root beer float which was amazing made just perfectly. My friend did get a hot dog and it smelled and tasted just like I remember! I thought service was super fast however I did come here close to closing and it was crazy the poor server was jumping from car to car trying to get everyone on their way. If you're tired of the same ol' costco dog and want something a bit better come here! Wash it down with a good ol' root-beer float! ”
